Work History
Director of Research & Marketing,  (Jan. 2003-Present)
I managed a group that developed policies and best practices for this venture-backed eBay drop-off service. I personally led efforts to develop training materials, educate customers, create an online research library and build a company-wide knowledge base. I also worked closely with eBay, outside counsel and third parties to handle legal issues including counterfeiting and authentication, copyright/trademark infringement, and fraud. My marketing/design responsibilities included publishing a monthly customer newsletter, maintaining the corporate website and intranet, project managing website redesigns, and producing print collateral (brochures, pricing sheets and educational materials). I worked closely with PR to develop and evolve company messaging, and ensure consistency across all communications with customers, analysts and the media.

Design & Marketing Consultant (2000-2003)
I've developed high-level strategies, website and print collateral for marketing, advertising and interactive media initiatives. My clients have included start-ups and established firms in a broad range of industries, from retail, entertainment, healthcare and finance to e-commerce and Internet search technology.

Creative Director (San Francisco, CA, 1997-2000)
I led client presentations and provided creative direction on interactive projects for many high-profile clients of this pioneering design agency, including Gap, Kellogg's, PBS, Sony, and The Names Project/AIDS Memorial Quilt. I hired and mentored designers, developed internal training programs, and led efforts to define and evolve vivid's brand and design methodologies. I was also deeply involved in the firm's strategic marketing/PR efforts and served as the company spokesperson for many years.

Information Designer/Writer ( CA, 1993-1997)
As one of the earliest employees, I was very involved in the planning and design stages of many CD-ROM and web projects. My responsibilities included audience research, setting project requirements, conceptual modeling, site organization and design, prototyping, and usability testing. I also provided copywriting, editing, documentation and client training on many projects.

Web Master  ( CA, 1995-2000)
I created the first corporate website to help the company acquire new business in the burgeoning web industry. I updated the site regularly and shepherded it through two major redesigns. I continued to maintain the site until 2000, when vivid was acquired by another firm.

Marketing Coordinator ( CA, 1993)
I purchased media and produced magazine ads, product literature, and tradeshow exhibits for Z-tech email software. I demonstrated software and answered questions at tradeshows.

Production Assistant ( PA, 1989-1992)
I designed marketing and sales collateral for small businesses and arts organizations. I also wrote articles, took photographs and developed layouts for employee newsletters and a monthly magazine for the local architectural community.
